Taking inspiration from Ben Okri’s (2017) novel; Starbook: A Magical Tale of Love and Regeneration, the text based drawings are a composition of Libita’s notes jotted in the margins of her copy of the book.  The drawings are presented as pairs— Spirit is an ongoing long form writing project. 

the silence spoke    to her nothing 

passing into gaps    like after glows

flash of light    humms like mist 

even without form    ruby dark remains 

a power invisible    keeps us here
